Resident foreign bank or current accounts
Residents are required to report in writing to the CBA the opening of accounts with nonresidents, including accounts held with foreign banks.
 
Nonresident accounts
Nonresidents are allowed to open accounts in any foreign currency at a local commercial bank. As of January 1, 2000, approval of the CBA for balances in excess of Afl. 200.000 is no longer required. These accounts should be funded with foreign currencies.
